Brunschwig & Fils

Suite C-114
This fall Brunschwig & Fils is introducing the Paule Marrot
Collection of six cheerful prints and four coordinating
woven designs. Paule Marrot designed these prints during the
thirties, forties and fifties in Paris. Madame Marrot was
influenced by the works of Matisse, Rouault, Vlaminck and
Dufy. Bright primary colors were evident in all her designs.
Quite simply, she loved joy; she loved being happy – and it
reflected in her art.
In 1945 Paule Marrot introduced this French collection to
American decorators and clients, including Jacqueline
Kennedy who designed a living room around Les Tulipes Cotton
Print (shown here) which was first created and introduced in
1938.

Suite C-130
Intrigued by Mother of Pearl's natural beauty and potential
for use in interiors, Maya Romanoff set out to create a
Mother of Pearl surface material that could have limitless
potential. After sourcing inlaid shell plates, Joyce
Romanoff, President, brought the challenge back to their
team of designers.
The Romanoff team quickly developed an alchemy of their own
that protected the delicate shells to make them suitable for
residential and commercial use, while enhancing the natural
beauty of the shell. The result": beautiful tiles, hand
inlaid with genuine shells. Sold as 24"x 12" tiles, Mother
of Pearl is a true surfacing material. Beyond being a viable
wall covering, it is also useable in furniture, on columns
in place of wall tiles and in retail displays.

Carolyn Ray, Inc. presenting FUN AND GAMES (OR Modern Art
Comes out to Play)
Our latest textile collection takes inspiration from
minimalism's process-oriented reductionist concerns. With
ethereal grounds and colors, a big dose of studio playtime,
and tongue firmly in chic, we introduce the FUN AND GAMES
Collection.
Minimalism comes out of the museum--out to play in today's
interior. RING TOSS plays the positive/negative game. And
HOPSCOTCH jumps effortlessly from dark to light. This design
duo is at once collectible art and whimsically light-filled
textiles. A note for our environmentally-conscious friends,
and true to minimalism's beginnings, "found object" recycled
industrial materials were the production templates for these
ultra-elegant designs. RING TOSS and HOPSCOTCH, come and
play with Carolyn Ray!
